Entwurf einer einheitlichen EU-Datenschutzrichtlinie

Künftig werden alle 28 EU-Staaten einen einheitlichen Datenschutz für Internetnutzer bieten. Die Reform, die bereits seit drei Jahren diskutiert wird, soll einen besseren Schutz persönlicher Daten sowie Unternehmen einen einheitlichen Rechtsrahmen in Europa garantieren. Die endgültige Fassung zum europäischen Datenschutz muss noch zwischen Ministerrat, Kommission und EU-Parlament abgestimmt werden. Das neue europäische Datenschutzgesetz könnte frühestens zum Jahresende beschlossen werden und 2018 in Kraft treten.
